Continuum Arts & Lifelink Memphis are partnering together to bring a 2 day conference dedicated to Art and Faith on October 16th and 17th in the historic Galloway church building in Cooper Young. The conference features presenters from around the world and around the block.
The Conference is about Contemplation:
There will be lectures, discussions and presentations on the value of various artistic media: how each enrich the life of faith, its liturgy and its place as a God revealer. Our hope is that we all gather to celebrate the creative, the mysterious and the beautiful as artists of calling.
The Conference is about Connection:
This event promises to bring a group together which has the potential to fan the flames of engagement creating deep connections that will persist through the many discouragements we as artists face: as much from the imperfections in the world around us as the valuation (or lack of it) of what we do in secular and non-secular worlds alike. When the conference closes, we take these connections with us.
