TheTechnical Program Delivery andManagementwill be responsible for technical design, solution and delivery of new enhancements, capabilities, features, and functions for all Customer Journey applications and services that meet the needs of Team Members, guests and owners. The Technical Program Delivery and Management will be expected to work within an Agile framework to enable and support product, development, quality, and PMO teams. TheTechnical Program Delivery and Managementwill also be expected to collaborate with business stakeholders on targeted features and functions required allowing Hilton to maintain its position as a leader in hospitality.

What will I be doing?

TheTechnical Program Delivery and Managementwill be involved in tool selection, architecture, design, and the development of applications and services that enable the customer journey. Other responsibilities will include developing an architecture that supports test automation and continuous delivery for different products. TheTechnical Program Delivery and Managementwill also ensure that the right technology and architecture choices are made for a reliable solid foundation for all applications and will be expected to set the technology and delivery path for all of the services and capabilities of our customer applications.

Other key priorities are listed below:
  • Establish solid partnerships within the IT organization to ensure cross-functional alignment and to ensure a clear understanding of feature requests
  • Help fill gaps throughout the development cycle when critical or complex issues arise to ensure delivery expectations are met
  • Lead and mentor other developers on the technology, Stack, building up the core competency to increase the velocity of the teams
  • Help define and follow architecture methodology, driving team velocity delivering industry leading web and mobile solutions with best in class quality and performance
  • Embrace and demonstrate the core principles of architecture and ensure these principles are followed throughout the team by building reference architecture and reference applications
  • Communicate regularly with business stakeholders and Leads on assigned tasks
  • Interact with other teams as it relates to the successful implementation of critical and strategic projects and systems

Job Requirements

What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of software engineering experience
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience working collaboratively with other Team Members to complete projects
  • A minimum of four (4) years of development experience using Java EE in a web environment
  • A minimum of four (4) years of development experience in a web based environment using HTML, JSP and JavaScript
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience with test automation tools
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience and a strong working knowledge of Atlassian Stack
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience working with Amazon Web Services and micro-services
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Working knowledge of architecture principles

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
  • MA/MS Master's Degree
  • A minimum of two (2) years of development experience in an environment that uses a content management system
  • Experience in customer facing web and api technologies that require complex systems integration
  • Certified with and working knowledge of OnQ, or any other of our Company's proprietary applications
  • Experience working in a Unix environment
