Manager of Quality and Lean Manufacturing
Job description
Our client is a world leader in plastic building materials and needs a senior level manager to oversee Quality and Lean Manufacturing. This person will work with leadership at multiple sites to develop and implement strategy, while creating actionable policies and procedures. Communicating effectively to the organization will be critical. This person will be responsible for implementing Lean practices and coordinating certifications such as ISO 9001.
Position will be based in Little Rock, Arkansas area.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop quality assurance system across all business process areas, including quality metrics and quality audits.
Develop and document business processes with departments and drive process optimization across the enterprise technologies and processes.
Utilize continuous improvement methodologies.
Contribute leadership to instill a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Facilitate business process mapping and improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with department heads to adapt monitoring processes and identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
Conduct in depth analysis of moderately complex to highly complex business problems and provide insight to decision:makers.
Manage direct or indirect reports assigned to process mapping and improvement initiatives.
Track and measure performance against goals.
Collaborates with business leaders to identify, prioritize and implement process improvements.
Responsible for all appropriate Safety, Health and Environmental policies, practices and procedures.
Responsible for the quality of products and services to internal and external customers.
Analyzes situations impeding the success of departmental efforts and effectively minimizes their impact.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading quality assurance or continuous improvement department.
Bachelors in Engineering or Operations required, MBA preferred.
15+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
High level Continuous Improvement Certification.
A demonstrated expertise in selecting manufacturing personnel.
Project Management Professional Certification, preferred.
Experience interacting across multiple functions of the corporation.
Requires strong understanding of management and business strategy development.
Strategic, analytical thinker including process and performance to deliver global expertise.
Ability to effectively communicate with external and/or internal stakeholders.
Ability to effectively work at both a strategic and a hands:on tactical level.
Proven ability to keep calm under high pressure situations.
