JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB:: Counsels students in the areas of time management, stress management, test-taking strategies, identifying available resources, and establishment of goals.Serves as a liaison between students and Student Academic Support Services and Inclusion (SASSI).Collaborates with appropriate Program Director and/or Executive Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to help identify students in need of additional resources.Collaborates with students to identify study strategies that are aligned with their own individual learning styles.Communicates non-progression of success plan to respective Program Director, Instructor of Record, and student s Academic Advisor; Responsible for providing ongoing communication and guidance to current students.Directs relevant and necessary collection, management, and dissemination of data related to the consultation and coaching of students who have academic concerns and/or personal issues.Collaborates with the Executive Associate Dean of Academic Programs and respective Program Director(s) in reviewing the data, developing strategies for positive outcomes, and refining decision-making based on outcomes. Participates in student-centered program events (e. g., New Student Orientation, Pinning Ceremony, CRNA Scrub Cap Ceremony, Awards, Graduation, and Signing Day ).Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Bachelor sDegree in Counseling and/or Education. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)EXPERIENCE: Three(3) years of experience in student advisement and developing, evaluatingstrategies for student academic performance success. Experience with theassessment of student learning outcomes including mining data for analysis anddissemination; OR Master s Degree and one (1) year of student advisement anddeveloping, evaluating strategies for student academic performance success.Experience with developing and evaluating retention strategies for studentsenrolled in a health care professional program in a higher education setting ispreferred. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication,organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to present ideas and conceptsorally and in writing. Possesses strong administrative skills andeffective working with teams. Demonstrates understanding of the assessment ofstudent learning outcomes. Demonstrates understanding of teaching andlearning, high academic standards, and student success. Possesses strongcomputer skills, including proficiency with computer systems such as Windows,Microsoft Office, Banner, CAS, and Oracle. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE THE CANDIDATE TO BE WILLING ANDABLE TO WORK ON WEEKENDS AND EVENINGS OCCASIONALLY.
