The Sr. Insurance Specialist collects delinquent accounts by submitting third party claims and providing follow:up for clients. Completes account resolution duties including timely filing, pre:certifications, and contractual adjustments. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

:Must have ability to understand multiple processes and keep detailed records.
:Good verbal and written communications skills necessary.

:Reviews accounts for insurance verification and files appropriate insurance or third party claims.
:Provides timely follow:up on submitted unpaid insurance claims to ensure prompt payment.
:Notes status of account on the account record.
:Contacts patients and insurance companies to identify barriers in getting the claim paid.
:Routes accounts back to appropriate parties after self:pay balances are determined.
:Provides research on bill disputes.
:Handles or writes up adjustments that are required.
:Follows up on and collects outstanding claims.
:Provides effective customer service. 13;

:The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
